Prof. Keri Thomas MB.BS MRCGP DRCOG MSC (Pall Med)
Prof. Keri Thomas, originator of the Gold Standards Framework (GSF) is the founder of Omega. She continues her leadership role within the Department of Health's End of Life Care Programme, a position she has held for over 6 years. Keri has also served as Director of the GSF Programme for the past 9 years. During this time she has received several awards. Keri has recently launched a community interest company to develop the GSF Care Homes Programme and related training initiatives.
She has many years experience within the NHS, and has successively built a national programme from scratch. Keri is author of 'Caring for the Dying at Home' and has written and lectured extensively in the UK and abroad on community palliative care and end of life care. She became Clinical Champion in End of Life Care for the Royal College of General Practitioners in 2007, and has also been awarded the honorary post of Professor of End of Life Care at the University of Birmingham.
