Omega Meeting Points

If you look after someone, attending a Meeting Point support group is a good way to help you meet and socialise with people who really understand what it means to be a carer. You can relax, pick up new skills and gather important information. From time to time, some of our groups become oversubscribed and it is therefore necessary to close them to new members.

To find out more about groups not featured on the Omega website please contact Janet Wood; janet@omega.uk.net. We also invite you to get in touch if you want us to start a new group or support an existing group.

Unless stated otherwise, Omega events are free to carers, former carers and the bereaved. Please help us to eradicate wastage and make things runs smoothly by confirming your attendance; contact Omega. Events marked * are likely to be of interest to Omega beneficiaries but are organised by others; if you require further information, please contact the organiser directly.

17/05/13 - A Concert to Lift Your Spirit*
Catholic Cathedral, Town Walls, Shrewsbury, 8pm. Supporting the work of the St Vincent de Paul Society in Shropshire. Featuring the Jackfield Elcock Reisen Brass Band and Shropshire Girls' Choir. Starts 10am, Old Market Square, Shrewsbury SY1 1LH. Supported by Urban Bikes UK and Cycle Shrewsbury. Contact shropshirechallenge@gmail.com. 30 mile lead ride (non-competitive). Entry £5 (£3 will go to Omega).

Every Monday - Weekly chat and cycle*
From 10am, finishing before lunch. Meet Abbotts Wood car park off Eskdale Road in Monkmoor, Shrewsbury, SY2 5UD. Easy paced social cycle ride led by experienced ride leader; free and no need to book. Every Thursday - Free Afternoon Drop In*
