Over ten years experience in palliative care. GP Principal at Hull's Faith House Surgery for 6 years, leading on QOF with responsibility for epilepsy, thyroid, cancer and palliative care. Involved in enhancing practice standards and promoting improvements in end of life care.

Leena Cowell
Omega Supporter Leena Cowell took part in the annual 50 mile Long Mynd hike to raise funds for the Omega MND iPad Appeal on October 1st 2011. Leena works as a receptionist at the Meadows Surgery in Clun, South Shropshire.
Geoff Forgie 1940 - 2011
Sorely missed, Geoff was a local activist and a charismatic leader with whom we worked for more than 2 years. Latterly, Geoff formed and chaired the Shropshire Disability Network. He worked closely with Omega Development Director Tom Memery, who served SDN as Treasurer. Geoff died 7th August 2011.
Megan Greenhalgh
Extensive work with voluntary organisations in Ethiopia, Cambodia and Nepal; supporting children with HIV and AIDS. Now actively pursuing a long-term career in charitable work. Megan participated in Run to the Beat in 2010 to raise funds for projects benefiting carers.

Retired from her post as Specialist MND Nurse in 2011; Omega continues to consult with Helen on MND and assistive technology. Helen and her husband Phil (below) are two of our leading social fundraisers; in January 2012, they organised a Salsa Evening in Shrewsbury benefitting the Omega MND iPad Appeal.

Former technical sales engineer. Enjoys travel, mountaineering, cycling and skiing.
Michael Harvey 1976-2012
A much valued Omega volunteer, Michael was heavily involved in undertaking research and collating information used by our beneficiaries. After teaching English abroad, he worked for charitable organisations including Oxfam and Pontesbury Residential Care. Michael died on August 31st 2012.

With assistance from parishioners, friends and supporters at St Mary's Church in Elton, Pam raised over £500 for the Omega MND iPad Appeal in 2011, through sponsorship of the Advent Shining Star.
Stephanie Waters
Former Omega employee; Stephanie encountered hardship in foreign cultures while travelling, prompting a career shift to the voluntary sector, and the pursuit of a degree in International Studies.
