Pearl Allis-Smith

Pearl is qualified as a Registered Nurse in Mental Health and has worked within the NHS for more than 30 years. As a Ward Sister, she specialised in care of the elderly, with a strong commitment to raising standards in care for terminally ill patients.


 

Rosie Beynon

Worked for more than 25 years in industry, throughout the UK as a credit controller. In 2011, Rosie entered the world of volunteering with a Shrewsbury charity helping disabled people gain access to welfare benefits. Rosie is carrying on her volunteering career with other organisations including Citizens Advice Bureau, SSAFA, and Omega.

Louisa Godwin

A qualified Clinical Hypnotherapist currently pursuing her Masters in Psychology; Louisa specialises in working with pain issues, depression and other psychoimmunilogical disorders. She works with Omega on the Healthy Living initiative.


 

Tim Green

Tim graduated from the Univeristy of Leicester in 2011, with a 2:1 in Politics. His work at Omega is focussed on supporting fundraising applications; Tim intends to pursue a career in Local Government / Third Sector.

Brian Lyon

Brian has completed 38 years in the RAF as an Air Traffic Controller / Flight Operations Manager; hobbies include bird watching and fishing. Brian now wants to use his expertise in the voluntary sector.


 

Adam Piggott

Studies performance and music and has previously volunteered for the British Heart Foundation. Adam plays guitar and keyboard, writes reviews for music websites and enjoys football.

Susanna is a Spanish Graphic Design Graduate who has produced artwork and image compositions to support several Omega initiatives and campaigns.

An information professional with wide experience across many different organisations, most recently with the National Cancer Action Team / Macmillan on improving patient experience.

 

 

Michael Smith

Mike is a graduate from Durham University with 20 years experience of IT Support. He has lived in South Africa, France and Canada and has sailed three times around the world whilst working onboard luxury cruise ships. Mike loves films and comedy and cooks a mean curry.


 

Andreea Visian

Coming to the UK from Romania in 2010, Andreea is an Engineer in Applied Science, and is working towards a degree. In her voluntary work at Omega, she specialises in databases.

Mike Willcox

Retired bricklayer who served his apprenticeship at Attingham Hall, Shropshire. Interests include photography, painting and fell walking. Member of the Shrewsbury Male Voice Choir, serving as Second Tenor for 16 years.

Jason has previously volunteered for the Red Cross and the National Trust.
